Design a paper course

Sketch three imaginary holes on paper and give each a distinct shape. Mark the start, finish and boundaries. Ask a friend to explain how they would play each one, then adjust unclear parts of the drawing.

Keep the finished note with its date and source material. Return to it when you repeat the exercise, and add what changed rather than replacing the earlier observation.
